As I developed the body of work that became “A Tale of Two Sketchbooks”, I carved three stone sculptures inspired by the 18th Century, the time of Rievaulx Terraces’s construction.<\/p>\n

These three Sheep sculptures were exhibited at the 2018 Art Show at the Great Yorkshire Show, Harrogate, North Yorkshire.<\/p>\n

This sculpture references the Greek “Herm” or “Herma”. Four 18th century \u00a0herms act as candle stands within Rievaulx’s Ionic Temple banqueting chamber.<\/p>\n
